World Religion Day

This Sunday the world will celebrate the “World Religion Day”. The day aims to build awareness of different cultures and religions and promote mutual understanding and tolerance between peoples from different backgrounds. Film Festival Fun Run

We had a great time with Fellside Primary School and Newcastle High School for Girls Junior School at the Newcastle International Film Festival Fun Run! Thank you so much to the fantastic students and teachers for getting in the spirit and dressing up, and Womble Bond Dickinson for sponsoring the event. This fantastic film was made by students at Gateshead College.

"We are long-standing supporters of COCO, valuing the mutually supportive relationship we have with the charity immensely.  It is fantastic that we can join forces again with COCO, and also with the Newcastle Film Festival, both local organisations that are doing much to put the north-east firmly on the map.  Fellside children are huge supporters of the COCO schools that we have helped to fund over the years, and the film fun run will give us an opportunity to continue to do this -  as well as provide us with the excuse to dress up, of course!" - Kerrie Hood, Headteacher at Fellside Primary School.

The fun run at Newcastle High School for Girls took place last Friday and raised over £1,100! Fellside's Fun Run will take place after Easter. The runs are raising money for COCO and are to celebrate the inaugural Newcastle International Film Festival taking place over Easter weekend (more info on that here). The event even made the news, you can read our full article here.
