Jilly and Ben Grower donate £1000 towards COCO's Romanian Project

Wednesday 10th December 2008

COCO works in partnership with a voluntary organisation in Bournemouth called Can't Walk Away (CWA), run by ex Mayor of Bournemouth Ben Grower and his wife Jilly. Jilly and Ben attended COCO's Ball on Saturday and kindly brought along an additonal donation of £1000 towards COCO's Romanian Project Partner, the Rhema Foundation, which provides expert care for children with HIV requiring specialist help and assistance.

CWA raise funds for the Foundation year on year and we work with them to ensure we are doing all that we can for these desperately needy children. Jilly visited the Foundation this year and said:

"They are all doing well. Their two main carers, Maria and Rosy, are lovely with the children, they are so patient. Without highly skilled specialist staff it is unlikely they would develop any further communication skills. But I always find them well cared for, well dressed, very clean and most of all, very happy. I know that Ibi cares for them in the best possible way that she and her staff can."

We are so grateful to Jilly and Ben for their support for COCO and dedication to the great work of the Rhema Foundation.
