Why not make 2009 the year to up the stakes and challenge yourself to two amazing events!

The Bristol 10k, which takes place on May 10th is already full, but you can secure your own place by running for COCO and helping to alleviate poverty at the same time as taking on a great personal challenge.

Participating in the Bristol 10K is a great way for runners of any ability to take in this picturesque city. The course takes in the city’s harbour side and Avon Gorge and is a great opportunity to get an insight into the half marathon route at the same time. To secure your place simply complete the application form and return with a £20 non-refundable deposit. COCO asks for a minimum sponsorship of £100.

If the Half Marathon is more up your street, then COCO also has places for you to take advantage of. This year will be the 21st Birthday of the Bristol Half Marathon. It’s open to up to 20,000 runners but be warned, the popularity of this course will see places rapidly snapped up. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work up to an achievable personal challenge whilst raising funds for an undeniably good cause.

As one of the official charities, COCO would love to have you participate on our behalf. Any funds raised will go towards our goals of alleviating the suffering of children living in poverty, through health and education initiatives. If you think you’re up to the task we’re asking for a minimum sposnsorship of £175 plus a £30 non-refundable deposit. Simply complete the application form and return with your deposit. For any more information get in touch with Gemma Dyer at gemma@coco.org.uk.
