Join Steve and COCO for our annual Coast to Coast cycle challenge, an exhilarating cycling event from Whitehaven on the West Coast of England to Sunderland on the East Coast.
The Coast to Coast challenge provides an ideal opportunity to enjoy some of Britain's stunning scenery as you cycle from Whitehaven, through the Lake District and over the Pennines to finish on the North Sea Coast.
Cycling is a great way to keep fit and healthy and even remove some of those unwanted pounds put on during Easter!
Up to 50 riders will set off from Whitehaven on Saturday 3rd October and over two days they will cover the 134 miles to Sunderland. Teams are made up of three cyclists who must work as a team to be in for a chance of winning the coveted title of C2C Champions 2009, won last year by Cintra Payroll Services. To join you must commit to raise £300 per person along with a £65 registration fee each. For this you receive:
- Transport to Whitehaven on Friday evening and transport back to Newcastle from Sunderland
- Refreshments during the course
- Vehicle support to carry luggage
- Packed lunches
- Overnight accommodation in Alston
- Evening meal on Saturday
- Commemorative certificate
- Champagne reception at the finish
We do not organise accommodation in Whitehaven on the Friday evening but we can provide you with details of hotels and guest houses in the area.
All participants will receive a t-shirt and medal and the winning team will also win some great prizes!
Most importantly, you will be raising funds for COCO's vital work with children who are affected by poverty and are in desperate need of your help to improve their health and education.
We will support you every step of the way with your fundraising and training and we promise a great team atmosphere on the weekend.
