New Board Members for COCO
Monday 22nd March 2010
COCO are pleased to welcome two new directors to our board. Katherine Hay-Heddle and Fiona O'Connor have a wealth of experience between them and are great additions to our existing board.
Katherine is a partner at Ward Hadaway Solicitors and specialises in corporate law (buying and selling companies and working wtih companies and investors on venture capital transactions). She trained and qualified in the North East and now lives in Durham with husband Tim. In addition to her day job, Katherine enjoys ultra marathons and will soon be off to the Sahara to take part in her 4th 250km Marathon des Sables.
Fiona is a Senior Programme Director for leadership development charity, Common Purpose - covering Tyne and Wear. She has worked for Common Purpose for 3 years - delivering programmes for senior leaders from all sectors in this region. Prior to working for Common Purpose Fiona's experience was primarily in corporate fundraising and development with over 10 years experience working for third sector organisations in the North East.
Katherine will be a fantastic asset to COCO as she helps us keep up to date with the latest legal requirements in addition to using her wealth of knowledge on the corporate sector to help COCO meet new supporters. Fiona's experience in the third sector will prove invaluable as COCO continues to develop and investigate new funding opportunities.
Katherine and Fiona will join existing board members, Steve Cram, Alan Capper, Edward Chapman, Dr Peter Warburton and Muriel Armstrong.
