Steve goes back to University in support of COCO

Monday 21st June 2010

On Wednesday 26th May COCO's Chairman and founder, Steve Cram visited the Business School at Newcastle University to share his experiences as a world class athlete. He explained how his insights into the lessons learnt from his discipline are transferable to skills needed in the ever changing world of business.

There were over 65 attendees at the event and everyone commented on what a great insight Steve gave to international sport and the discipline involved in the achievement of world class athlete status. There were many synergies between the world of sport and the world of Business. In particular Steve explained that truly successful people work hard for what they have achieved but they do put steps in place to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Steve's passion and commitment towards his personal sporting achievements has also translated into the success of COCO and the drive behind what we do. COCO are committed to ensuring the children we work with have access to a brighter future through the provision of healthcare and education initiatives and we wouldn't be where we are today without caerful planning, hard work and plenty of support from friends and donors.

The event was organised by the North East Alumni Branch of the Business School and sponsored by a range of corporate partners including Cintra, Element 5.0 and Young and Lee solicitors. All sponsorship from the night was donated to COCO, helping to raise £2500.

Thank you to Steve, Newcastle Business School, Cintra and all those who attended the event.
