TeamCOCO Celebrate Yorkshire Day at the York 10K!

Sunday 1st August was Yorkshire Day and what better way to demonstrate the spirit of the people in the region than to host the York 10K?
The York 10K is organised by Run For All in aid of the Jane Tomlinson Appeal and on the day over 8000 runners took to the streets of York to raise funds for a number of charities including COCO.
TeamCOCO had over 30 runners taking part and it was great to meet many of them who came along to the COCO tent following the run. The weather provided perfect running conditions for the 10K and World Cup legend Sir Geoff Hurst was on hand to start the runners off.
Other celebrity runners included champion jockey Richard Dunwoody who led the crowd of runners out from the Racecourse towards the city, passing sites such as York Minster and the riverside.
It is hoped that runners who supported COCO will help us to raise more than £1000 for COCO.
