Many of our volunteers come to us through the Career Development Module, an option for students to gain professional experience working in the COCO office as part of their university course. This gives students excellent real-life experience, while benefiting COCO. These students come from a wide range of subject backgrounds, so bring with them a wide range of expertise.
We also work with a number of other students conducting research in international development as part of their studies, and work alongside academics with an interest in COCO's work.
There is also a COCO Society at Newcastle University which organises events to raise money and awareness about COCO throughout the university.
