Rosie joined the COCO team as Administration Assistant in October 2018, becoming the Administrator in 2020.
A passionate advocate of the importance of education, Rosie spent five years teaching Modern Foreign Languages in various schools across the North East. She also used her language skills working in Customer Service and completing translation projects in French and Welsh.
During her degree in English Literature and French at the University of Chester, Rosie spent a year working as a language assistant in a secondary school and a sixth form college in France. Supporting students learning English sparked her interest in the world of teaching, and led to studying a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Newcastle University. This course gave her the opportunity to visit schools in Ghana, an experience which was fundamental in attracting her to COCO.
As well as loving languages and literature, Rosie also enjoys the outdoors and is a keen gardener. She can often be found in her allotment plot, growing fruit and vegetables with varying degrees of success.
