We are constantly in awe of all the brilliant work of other UK non-profits. One of them is the Ordnance Survey and their GetOutside campaign, which encourages us all to do more in the British outdoors.
This year's National GetOutside Day is on Sunday, the 26th of September.
If you've been here a while, you'll know COCO's history is rooted in running and outdoor challenges, so a day dedicated to appreciating the environment and staying fit and healthy is right up our street!
We've put a COCO spin on it and invite you to Get Outside for COCO no matter where in the world you live.
We're asking COCO supporters from Canada to Hong Kong and everywhere in between to take part in the day and snap a photo of the sunshine and sky wherever you are so that we have a full 24 hours of brighter futures!
How to take part
- Add GetOutside for COCO to your calendar
- Choose an activity that's perfect for you
- On the 26th of September, snap a photo of the sky wherever you are and let us know what you're up to using #GetOutsideForCOCO
What activity should you do?
Get Outside Day for COCO is for everyone. Whether you prefer a quiet walk by yourself to reflect on the season that's just passed or want the whole family to take part in a hike or open water swim, absolutely anything goes!
If you're based in the UK, the Ordnance Survey's free GetOutside app is the perfect tool to help you plan your day.
No donation is required; it's just a chance to connect with COCO supporters worldwide and make the most of the outdoors wherever you live.
We can't wait to see how you decide to take part in the day!
👋 Best wishes from everyone at COCO
